Okay. Hear me out though!
Is this an incredible book. No.
Does this have a particularly well-crafted or novel plot. No.
Are there many problematic and/or cringe worthy aspects of this book. Oh god yes.
Are there are a thousand books which are more worthy my time. Yes.
Yet. Yet. I love it. I have been reading this author since I was in grade school and I have known these characters my entire life. They are my oldest friends in so many way.
You know sometimes you get hangry and just want a Double Quarter Pounder with cheese meal from McDonalds. Your arteries, your doctor and your trainer at the gym all disagree but it's comfortable and hits the spot. And this is the book version of that.
