A Date with an Admirer by L.P. Dover, Heidi McLaughlin

4.0

Sophie, the dentist, has an invitation to the Governor’s Couples-Only Valentine’s Day ball with no date and her ex-boyfriend Warren will be there with the bimbo he dumped her for the week before Valentine’s Day. Never fear, her best friend Ellie has just the man to make Warren jealous. After 10 years in California, Ellie’s brother Tanner has returned to North Carolina to work at a local architectural firm. And boy does he make a tux look sexy.

Tanner’s sister is a pain in the butt, but when she asks him to be Sophie’s date for the ball, he jumps at the chance. You see, he has had a crush on her since he was fourteen years old, but he’s not the boy he was back then. He’s handsome, confident, and willing to do anything to make the beautiful Sophie happy.

Tanner goes all out to impress Sophie and make sure they get noticed by Warren at the ball. Even going as far as renting a yellow Lamborghini. After a night with Tanner, Sophie is very attracted to him, but she’s worried about jeopardizing her friendship with Ellie. Can Tanner make her change her mind?

This is a fast-paced romantic novella that will leave you breathless and smiling. If you like romance with a secret admirer, give this one a try.

Thank you to Ms. McLaughlin and Ms. Dover for giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.
