The Hunting by Sam Hawksmoor
3.0
As the final book (I believe) in this series, it wasn’t bad.
We jump right into the action and what was going on in ‘The Repossession’ and I liked that. No break inbetween.
They have a number of problems now with the company shutting down the servers and that means that some of the kids will die. They won’t survive.
Genie wants to save them all. She doesn’t want to live anyone behind. Rian will follow her where ever she wants to go. However, there was very little romance in this book. Almost none. We get to see how the characters develop without each other but I really didn’t live that Rian and Genie were always trying to find each other and yet, they didn’t get much time together.
I felt that the last one hundred pages were a let down. I didn’t like how the ‘final’ battle took place and one of my least favourite things were introduced. Not a fan of the ending. I don’t like the way that their story ended.
All in all, not a bad book. I did enjoy it but again, I wasn’t a fan of the ending.
