Queen of the damned should be called B plot the book cause nobody’s really contributing to the main plot but I’m giving this books a 4⭐️ instead of a 3.5 or 3.75 cause I’m not a hater and over all I enjoyed this and would probably read it again. I found the plot interesting overall and enjoyed almost all the characters who were introduced and who we got a pov from. I think Akasha was a ok big bad and understood her actions and motivations even though her plan frustrated me the entire book ( I think Akasha should’ve had a pov chapter) I think that lestats growth and maturity as a character throughout the book is done well and I enjoyed where he ends up at the end of the book and seeing him with Louis. My 4 ⭐️ rating of this book is being mostly carried by my enjoyment of the devils minion chapter and the tale of the twins/ maharet’s point of view because thoes are the high points of the book for me personally and I want to read more about the first brood . My issues with the book are mostly with the pacing and anticipation of what happens because the endings feel anticlimactic compared to the building up and the characters we get perspectives from aren’t doing much of anything most of the time other than standing around talking and looking at each other. Overall I wish we spent more time with Akasha and lestat ( aka the main plot of the book where the action is )
