I thought this was a super cute love story that actually had some depth to it. Both characters were fleshed out with ambitions, fears, and flaws that complimented each other well throughout the story. The setting of Chestnut Springs is enchanting and the Eaton family feels tight-knit in a real mess with your sibling kind of way.

I do think it had its issues. Mainly, the father and the love interest Rhett having the same pet name for Summer, which I found incredibly creepy. After the 60% mark it also felt like it was very sexually charged and there was less emotional development for the characters. The end scene, where they skip ahead and make a major life decision together, was poorly timed. I doubt most females would want to have that moment happen the way it did. But good for Summer, she seems happy.

I look forward to continuing on in this universe and family.
