Another Brooklyn by Jacqueline Woodson

4.0

This is a spare, beautifully written book of prose about young female friendships—the secrets they keep from one another, the support they give unconditionally, the hurts that are caused either by accident or on purpose—and the impact those friendships have later in life. Woodson is such a gorgeous writer; I haven’t read her work in a long time and will go back and read the other books of hers I have now.
