I'm a huge fan of retelling of common fairy tales and this one is excellent. It's a version of Snow White involving a crazy step-mother obsessed with having her own child Snow deals with the usual hatred and mistreatment from her stepmother before running away and discovering a strange, secret underworld in the nearby city, where she meets some new friends who have quite the crazy origin story. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for an interesting new fairytale to read. The only thing I didn't like about this was that it was only one book! I wish I knew what happened next!
