Fables, Vol. 1: Legends in Exile by Bill Willingham

This was a fun read. Imagine all of the fairy tale characters are real: the big bad wolf, Snow White, Jack (from "Jack and the Bean Stalk"), the Beauty and the Beast, etc. However, they have fled from their fairy tale land and now living in exile in the land of the "munys" ("The Mundanes" . . . much like the Muggles of the HP universe).

Crisis hits when Rose Red, Snow White's sister, seems to have been murdered. This is a weird, fun blend of a detective story and fairy tales. I look forward to reading the next one.
