The Perfect Neighbors by Sarah Pekkanen
2.0
Throughout the course of the reading this book, I kept expecting more to happen. We follow the lives of four women living in an idyllic suburban housing development. Things are seemingly perfect, but each woman has her own secrets...or so we are led to believe, but the secrets were either not at all interesting or completely predictable. I also found the listserv blurbs at the beginning of various chapters to be annoying and unnecessary. I get the idea of wanting to put forward the idea that this is a nice town and everyone is friendly, etc. but it was really a waste of space and didn't relate at all to the overall plot.
I was disappointed, but somehow managed to finish the whole book. There wasn't a character who I liked and I didn't really care what happened to any of them in the long run.
