Piecing Me Together by Renée Watson
4.0
This book was enjoyable. At the beginning it took me a while to get into as it was the first contemporary book that i had read in months but as the story carried on i definitley got back into it. I really enjoyed Jade as a main characters. she was strongwilled and don't let anything really get in the way of what she wanted. I really enjoyed when she started to fight for her views when her school or members of the public left her out because she was black. This book was very diverse as it covered race, discrimination, art, friendship, and feminism and characters being plus sized which i loved. I loved jades friendship both with Sam and lee lee and how they all bonded together and made things happen. I also like her friendship with her mentor. i really thought like they were sisters and Jade finally had someone she can look up to.
I gave this book 4 stars.
