My first entry into the world of magical realism. And what a debut it was. 💖
Haruki Murakami effortlessly blends what is essentially a beautiful love story that spans time and even different worlds with mystery, intrigue, murder and some absolutely fantastical elements.
Though the pace is slow, the absolutely breathtaking prose kept me hooked through out. Was rooting for Aomame and Tengo throughout.
An alluring love story that will stay with one long after one has turned the final page.
Will be hard to top this one.
