The Peter Principle by Laurence J. Peter

3.0

An classic business book that is intended to be satire. But like most satire, there are germs of truth within it that are more memorable because of their placement in satire. The premise is that people get promoted to other roles in a company because they are good at what they do now, not necessarily because they will be good at the new role. That leads to incompetent leaders and management and has a negative impact on morale and the company profitability. Fun, little quick read and you have to remind yourself that it is satire. If you like Dilbert comics, you'll like this book.
