Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks

Did not finish book.

I'm trying to work through the massive number of books on my TBR. This one has been on the shelf for almost 3 years. I gave it a few pages and it's not gripping me so I'm going to move on to something else. (I really enjoyed two of Brooks' other books: "People of the Book" and "Year of Wonders." I couldn't get into "March" either.)
