After You'd Gone by Maggie O'Farrell

3.0

This book is so full of pregnancies, babies, children of all age that I can' t call it celebrating childfree, especially since no notable childless charcters. Except there is Alice, the main character, and I had a feeling about her story and kept reading. Towards the end the moment comes where childfree/childless flashes by. The story doesn't linger on it and moves on quickly and doesn't give the chance to develop it further. But for those of us who know it's like a secret message only we would pick up and it's important. The story ends when Alice is still young so who knows.
Otherwise, more generally, this was well written and I can see why people love it. I liked different viewpoints, story unfolding through episodes across the time.
