One of my favorite horror fiction novels. The world and the characters that reside within in it are fascinating and tragic. The speculative aspects revolving around religion and past works of fiction are fascinating. The first chapter terrified me as a child, and I’m glad I came back as an adult. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
