Digging for Richard III: The Search for the Lost King by Mike Pitts

4.0

An enjoyable "truth is stranger than fiction" read about the discovery of the remains of Richard III under a parking lot. In addition to the events leading up to the discovery of the remains, I found the overview of 15th century British politics very informative. The British royal lineage was always a mystery to me, so I enjoyed the way that Pitts explained the 100 Year War and the War of the Roses, and finally feel that I have a grasp on who's who in the Lancastrians and Plantagenets and Tudors. Pitts' conversational tone makes this more accessible than I had expected.
