Wow. Every paragraph with Levin was amazingly pleasant. The book starts slow but the historical setting, prosaic, beautiful writing and the characters make it enjoyable, but what makes it a masterpiece is the end third, where all the charactor building satisfyingly pays of. Anna’s relationship with vronsky feeling so real, Levins even more crushingly real existential troubles and what it all amounts to which I can’t talk about without spoiling the book. If you enjoy quality literature you will be glad to have read this.
