Did not finish book. Stopped at 40%.

I honestly see this book as a shitty romance as this "love story" is literally based on nothing. Vinicius sees Ligia ONE TIME and wishes to "posses her completely" just because she's beautiful. Wonderful, right? Also, Ligia is somehow also in love with him, despite talking with him only like, 1-2 times? And she knows Vinicius wants her as more of a plaything than anything, even though maybe his intentions change after he convert to Christianity. The way Vinicius handled the whole situation just annoyed me enormously.
