Tell me why it took 80% through this book for the fucking idiot who’s being attacked around every corner to say maybe she needs some self defense training? JFC I haven’t read a TSTL heroine like this in forever. “In fact, maybe the only thing I was succeeding in was being dumb.” Indeed.
And these “mates” who are supposedly SO intent on her safety leave her alone and let her run off by herself literally every other page. This is not hitting the points I expect from a romantasy RH. Like, even a little. The intimacy is practically nonexistent. There’s little to no character development. But at least the author has the mean girl shit down.
