Dad, Jackie, and Me by Myron Uhlberg

I found this book while doing some research on neurodiversity and instantly knew I had to read it! Being a huge baseball fan, this book was right up my ally. It follows a young baseball fan as he navigates the 1947 Dodgers season, while also trying to communicate all the happenings via sign language to his dad. I really love how this book took something I love and am so familiar with and put it in a completely different perspective for me. I would use this book book with 1st graders to introduce them to situations they may not be familiar with. This would be a great book to add to the classroom library to increase diversity on more than one front.
