Long descriptive sections that do not drive the story forward. I liked the gory kills and creepiness of Mama-in-Bed but in this book there isn't enough tension and it isn't as fast-paced as I wanted it to be. Plus practically every named character so far has had a perspective. I don't see why that was necessary. Imagine not knowing if the cannibal family was coming because you are in the perspective of the girl or the doctor?
