It isn't actually that we didn't like this book, just that it was a bit boring. For toddlers, a book without words in a sort of graphic novel style can be a great opportunity for invention, a chance to practice identification and learn new words, and even a way to practice interpreting visual narrative without explanatory linguistic clues. So in this way, the book was useful to the twins even though it wasn't very engaging otherwise.
