| Favorite Quote | I thought once that gods are the opposite of death, but I see now they are more dead than anything, for they are unchanging, and can hold nothing in their hands.
| My Review | I’m actually quite shocked by my lackluster feelings towards this book. I adored The Song of Achilles, and I expected I would have loved this equally. Unfortunately, I often found myself bored and tempted to skim. Miller’s writing is still exceptional, however it felt like the overall story was told as a mythological event check-list, often with Circe simply observing the world around her.
I am in the minority! I still recommend you give this book a try, you may love it like many fellow reviewers.
