A Recipe for Magic and Mayhem by J.M. Wallace
3.5
It’s taken me a little while to come to a decision and what star rating I wanted to give this book. I settled on 3.5 stars.
It truly is a very sweet cosy story but I think it should be marketed towards younger teens. As an older reader I found it to be really slow and there wasn’t enough action to get me excited to pick it up everyday. I think this would also be a really great book for a parent and child/teen to read together!
The writing itself is very good and it’s easy to read and the author does a really great job of describing the people and what the world looks like so it’s really easy to imagine. I absolutely loved the addition of the recipes at the end of the book!
