“Don’t worry, he can still be your little lap dog, Dorothy. I’m not interested in training new bitches.”

Evie is definitely my favorite villain so far!! She is not even morally grey, she is morally black. I feel like she’s been the first TRUE villain in this series, one that really doesn’t deserve a redemption, but yet you are still rooting for her.

The spice between her and Nick was spicingggg. I think they’ve had the spiciest scenes so far that I’ve listened to (yes there is a 🔫 scene, but the chair scene in the cottage was also 🥵). Also their banter and chemistry was amazing. They had me laughing out loud.

I found it hard to believe that Evie didn’t automatically suspect Nick as being undercover though from the beginning. Yes, she had doubts about his true identity, but I felt like she blindly trusted him. Her first thought wasn’t that he could possibly be undercover and that was just out of character for her. Otherwise I loved the rest of it. The pacing was great and the ending was so cute and sweet.

“For someone who doesn’t believe in romance, you’re irritatingly good at it.”
