Being Nikki by Meg Cabot

1.0

Okay..um?!? I'm not even going to pretend this was readable, and with the server problem, it was as if the Universe didn't want me to read it, and maybe it was right! There's no explanations besides the fact that The Story sucks! Big Time! Not just Nikki, but even Em is the dumbest ass and Frida, a whiny one. So much characters thrown into a mix, none even worth a second glance. And it was typical to make Lulu fall for a guy who was not interested. Still Lulu remains my favorite. And I'm not sure this book would've gotten even the one star if it wasn't for her. If the first book made me remember why i like Meg's stories, this second book is enough to show me how full of only noise her language style is, the only thing you get from the book is a headache or possibly aneurysm.

If the book sticked to the plot of the first book, this would've been a slightly enjoyable read. Instead Cabot, who has read too much wanna be nerd novels throws in a typical conquer the world twist, if you can even call it that. How exactly does someone who hates the stark brand be so in love with the software game designed by them? And modelling shoots are only annoying and exasperating , when you make a clown a villain. I would've burst out laughing at the last part if i wasn't already so frustrated with this book. Meg, you rock so good for such a short moment until you lose it hard. Do us a favor & don't write any more books adding to the *noise* . The world has got enough. And mixing up the plots of crazy science lab comics and joker villains is not how you make a book work. Have you heard of this thing called Plot and Character Development? Of course you haven't. Why does that not surprise me?
