American Prince, by Sierra Simone

4.0

This is the second book in the New Camelot series. It picks up right where American Queen left off.

So this book was good, not as good as the first book, but good.

Here is what I liked:

The plot. The story had soo many twists and turns and I was shooketh.

The smut. Sierra Simone can write some smut. Holy Hell. I had to contain some facials while reading some of the scenes.

Here is what I didn’t like:

The Before. Now, before you come at me, this is a personal preference. I don’t mind flashbacks, but when 3/4 of the book is the backstory I get bored. Especially when it talks about his relationship with Ash and Greer. I know how it ends up… I don’t need a full recap. I mean Greer was kidnapped… what’s going on there?

Ash. He was a complete ass through this book. I get it and understand it, but didn’t think it was completely relevant the entire story.

Embry. He was depressing and it was hard to read. I felt like it was a pity party of 1 and it drove me nuts. He was really submissive this entire book… I like my men tough and full of grit. I knew this going into this book, but it was worse in this book.

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Would I recommend it? Yes. Only because I think you need to finish the series. I’m hooked and want to know what’s going to happen.
