Return to the Little French Guesthouse by Helen Pollard

Writing this review in English in the hopes that the author might read it.

As in the previous book, the atmosphere and the characters were lovely, and I really wish that La Cour des Roses were a real place that I could visit. However - spoilers and tw rape ahead - it's an absurd plotline with Alain's "dishonesty" regarding the attempted rape. The victim shaming reaches another level when he's given the responsibility of acting correctly after that dreadful event, and why did you think it was reasonable that he should need Rupert's forgiveness for it? Do better next time, please.
