I don't always read stories with alternate realities but I genuinely enjoyed this book so much! I was engaged the whole time and I love how each characters have their own moments to shine! I love the element of uncertainty of what will happen next and the magic of being transported into an alternate universe! Oftentimes, I had a lot of thoughts and realizations of all my own "what-ifs".

This book does an excellent job of making one realize just how our decisions and actions shape and carve our future. I want what Dax and Gemma have. Their friends to lovers journey has me swooning, giggling, and kicking my feet!! I love how Gemma and Dax are there for one another. In fact, I grew to love them so much that I would beg down on my knees for more of them 😩 I relate the most to Gemma as well as her sister, Kiersten. Like Gemma, I do get the tendency to settle on predicatability and what's comfortable, and so to see her reach for her goals, scared but brave enough to dare, I was moved 🥹 Meanwhile, like Kiersten, I tend to put others first then myself second. This habit got me to where I was- not knowing who I really am and what I stand for, but I want to believe I'm getting past that phase now 🫡

There are also a lot of family moments and their dynamics really provided the comedic aspect of the book xD I love Gemma and Kiersten's relationship as sisters! It just added more depth in the story. This book has romcom vibes that I'm sure romcom lovers would love to read! The writing was amazing and vivid, the pacing was great, the execution, especially the whole alternate timeline concept, was soo good! Overall, I highly recommend this delightful book!
