I liked the characters and the cute, fluffy, funny tone of the book a lot. It could have been a 4* title for me, if the romance part didn't annoy me as much. It's not just insta love, which I could forgive in a definite feel good story that is as short as Sleigh Bells.
But the love interest is a hunk of a man. Super big, super strong, super nice, a bad boy, but turned nice. But still a sexy bad boy! But so sensitive and thoughtful. But did I say he is a bad boy? Though a good egg. Oh and a hunk. And so gorgeous as well. *Sighs in bliss* (Not!)
This bit really started to grate on me quickly and had me roll my eyes more than once. If it wasn't for how he was described, I would have quite liked the characters and tone of the book!
It's a very easy, quick and fun read. If you're looking for depth, this is not it.
If you're looking for something cozy, warm, positive and quirky however, it is well worth the look!
From Miss Claus, to talking squirrels, (half elves), witches, vampires and shifters, this town has it all. Along with a winter feel, Christmas magic and all sorts of spells, I quite enjoyed this silly and whimsical ride, despite my qualms.
