3.5
Just finished this on holiday as a rec from a friend - 3.5*’s I think.
I did really enjoy this book, I wanted to know more each turn of the page. That being said, though I didn’t struggle with the writing style or the time hoping, what I did struggle with was how padded out the story lines were before getting to anything creepy within that memory. For example the mapping of the woods, I really didn’t need 20 pages explaining about the rafts and dotting it out.
There were a lot of unanswered questions by the end of the book, but I don’t actually think I hate it like I normally do as it leaves you kind of able to deliberate with others and draw separate conclusions.
This was a good little read, creepy story and something I will likely think about for a while.
