The Good Doctor is a book that does what Doctor Who does best, a fun adventure on a silly Science-Fantasy planet filled with VERY unsubtle political themes.

It's not a complex story, but it's a very fun little adventure that takes advantage of the time travel element to tell a story about racism and historical revisionism.

The author captures the essence of the characters perfectly, Thirteen and her companions all feel very authentic. Doctor who books often feel quite different from the show, but this honestly feels like a novelisation for an episode that doesn't exist.

Plus it's a story where Bradley Walsh becomes Space Christ, I have to give it atleast 4 stars for that alone.
