The Contortionist by Kathryn Ann Kingsley

Did not finish book. Stopped at 16%.
This one came highly recommended and multiple times. I am happy to have finally tried it after years on my TBR. But it is too dark for my liking. And neither bleak contemporary nor 1940s are time periods that exite or relax me.
But it is probably a very good book for someone else.
