This book was interesting.. had a lot of the usual romance tropes, while also being a lot darker and grittier than the typical romance book. There are elements of the miscommunication trope, but it is more like "we are going to actively keep you in the dark" rather than actual miscommunication. There are also some small twists through-out that left me wondering who was really at the heart of the conflict. This is the first of a completed 4-book series and it ends on a pretty serious cliff-hanger.

I decided to go ahead and purchase the rest of the series right way, because I really do feel like I need to know how this ends!

The reverse harem aspect is fun, but be aware that there is pseudo-incest, since one of the male-MCs and the female MC are step-siblings.
