Prison by Any Other Name: The Harmful Consequences of Popular Reforms by Victoria Law, Maya Schenwar

5.0

For anyone who believes the prison industrial complex can be reformed, this tackles why reform is ineffective and presents an irrefutable case for abolition. From house arrest to foster care and how surveillance and criminalizing poverty are harmful, this covers an extensive amount. I’m glad this book exists.
