Amazing introduction to a fascinating character!
“Good, I could do with a spot of fear.”
Elinor has to become the predator, so as to not be the prey. Living through two world wars. Occupied Belgium as a child and The Blitz in London, before returning again to Belgium and again to London. Finally the English countryside and peace.
“Home is where everyone deserves to feel safe.”
And yet there is no peace, not yet.
