Ivy by Sarah Oleksyk

3.0

I really enjoyed Ivy. I think it did an incredible job of representing all the anger, frustration, and confusion that the teenage years can hold. While not all teens will go through as extreme trials and experiences as Ivy, I think everyone can relate with falling in and out with friends, the excitement and free fall of first love, and the worry and dread about your impending “future” that everyone wants to talk to you about in high school. Sex and drinking are also both candidly handled from a perspective that neither glorifies or condemns.
