Ali Hazelwood is an auto-read author for me and this book was another great listen. Olive and Adam’s slow burn had me at the edge of my seat and at one point, I was chanting in my car “one bed, one bed, one bed” 😂

I kept getting annoyed with Anh
consistently being a bad friends throughout the book, pushing Olive to do things that were honestly inappropriate and uncomfortable for EVERYONE
and I’m glad this was addressed at the end of the novel. Props to Hazelwood for weaving this into the story because if that’s the reaction that she wanted from readers, then that was a genius play.

The book tackles a lot of themes around quid pro quo and how often women’s work is exploited in academia and the workplace. Tom is a sneaky character and I appreciated how Hazelwood brought that to life to address the issue.

ALSO HELLO THE HOTEL SCENE? ADAM WAS A MAN STARVED. So hot.

Another absolute banger romance. I’m going to read all of her published works at some point. Love love love her and how she represents women in STEM as a fellow woman in STEM.
