this wasn't bad, but it didn't feel particularly unique compared to the other books in this genre of millennial contemporary (or maybe I've just read too many of them). No quotation marks, short chapters, people cheating or being bad partners while musing on the modern world - you know the genre I mean. The book is not particularly subtle, which is fine, but not my thing. If you only read a couple books in this genre, I'd suggest If and Egyptian Cannot Speak English or Luster. This doesn't feel particularly innovative in comparison to those.
