Another great volume! This one simultaneously felt a bit faster and slower since there weren't events that were quite as intense as the last volume but we covered a longer period of time (with small time skips). It was so great getting to see Maomao back in the Inner Palace to support Consort Gyokuyo with her pregnancy and to see her finally take Lakan head-on . Can't wait for the next volume!
Graphic: Medical content
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Death, Sexual content, Blood, and Alcohol
Medical Content (Maomao is an apothecary so there is extensive discussion of medical knowledge) | Injury/Injury Detail (Maomao is actively recovering from her injuries that she acquired in the previous book and reopens her leg wound multiple times in this volume) | Alcohol (some depictions of drinking and becoming drunk) | Blood (Maomao keeps reopening her leg injury and bleeding on herself) | Death (references to Kounen's past death, the death of the metal artisan, etc) | Sexual Content (some references to Pai Ling's high libido here and there; Lihaku strips almost completely naked in this volume)
