I did really enjoy this book, the spice…obviously spiced. Love the ‘fake dating/fake marriage’ trope 9 times out of 10 it’s an automatic winner, this being one of them.

Entertaining side characters and I’m really eager to read the rest of the ‘Cane brothers’ trilogy I kinda wished they featured abit more in this and I liked the sibling dynamic that they had.

Even though I got really attached to the main characters they both annoyed me at times and I thought Huxley could be quite toxic at times especially at the end he turned on on Lottie so fast and immediately jumped down her throat, accusing her rather than approaching her with the issue and asking her about it. Then he tried to play the victim. Not cool!

And Lottie could sometimes give off ‘manic pixie dream girl’ vibes but in a kind of cringey way I personally thought. But other than that I did quite like them.

I felt like Angela was made a bigger deal of than what she actually was, like of course she was a witch to Lottie but I thought she’d of be more of a problem.

That’s as much as I can think of 😊
