I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry by Halsey

2.0

it’s a
beautiful,
lyrical
wonder.
but it is
not
the making of a
good poetry

If these were songs, it would be so beautiful. But as poetry? Not so much. I found myself making tunes to some lines.

And I also rapped these parts:
you got a brand-new bedroom.
a clean set of sheets I’ve never seen.
thread count’s pricey,
for your wifey

famous actress
and she skrrrt’n me

Kidding aside, [b:I Would Leave Me If I Could: A Collection of Poetry|54441047|I Would Leave Me If I Could A Collection of Poetry|Halsey|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1594207650l/54441047._SX50_.jpg|84678883] is more of a memoir. At first, the poetry bothered me because it would jump from one part to (an irrelevant) another in the same poem. But it becomes more personal, emotional and gets deeper. It's heavy, so I probably won't recommend it to people who don't like that and those who are very particular with poetry.
