Tiffany McDaniel's novels are literary marvels. Her works are always poetic, deeply moving and full of empathy and love for her characters. On the Savage Side is no exception. Her characters are well fleshed out and multidimensional. You can't help but fall in love with Daffy, Arc and Mamaw Milkweed and you're rooting for them, knowing all the while that tragedy and evil will eventually find them.

Catherine Taber does an incredible job narrating the story. She truly makes the characters come alive and her narration enhances an already exceptional novel.
