This story was intense with the emotions in the best ways!
Leila is such a strong FMC but she has such relatable traits too! Her insecurities and history of being treated as the 'pack princess' despite working as a doctor within the community make her very realistic. They also add emotional depth to the tumultuous relationship she is building with Marcus.
The push and pull between the grumpy bear shifter and Leila is phenomenally well played, especially with how it is interwoven into the overall storyline for the series.
I plan on reading the first book, as I started with this one, to get more of the founding story. I also can't wait to read about Rex's journey in the next book!
