The second of the Slough House/Slow Horses novels was, again, just up my street. The London repository for washed up and washed out MI5 spies investigates the killing of a former colleague found dead, for some reason, on a bus. This involves delving into the Cold War era and dealing with some modern-day Russian spies or gangsters--the twisty plot makes it hard to know exactly who they are from page to page. Suspenseful, smart, and funny.
