Creepy art and sad story. I think the allegory is just a touch too light, but the family dynamics seem real. I don't often say this, but I think e story needed more length. There were a lot of monologues from the dad but they didn't really do much. It might have felt more emotionally connecting to me to have more of the kid's and/or mom's experience.
