I really like the characters and I feel like they were written very well, and they were so complex that I could never decide whether to empathize with them or not, which I really enjoyed.  Personally, I didn't feel like there were dull moments in the book, though other people seem to feel differently.  My issue is that the story doesn't feel complete.  The vast majority of the plot points are unresolved at the end, and it doesn't feel like there's a point to it.  I absolutely love Donna Tartt's writing, but this one fell flat for me.
