Herbie's Big Adventure by Jennie Poh

3.0

**An ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review**

I can't review this properly as I'd like to. In fact, I'm a little unclear whether I'm allowed to review this at all, but I didn't see any directions concerning reviewing ARCs for Capstone so I'll just be super vague.

The only reason I requested this was because this is a hedgehog book. Due to that it features hedgehogs, it is thereby adorable. The illustrations are not particularly wonderful, but they are decent enough and some of them attain a fairly high level of cuteness. Additionally, the layout of the pages is quite nice. The story of the book is really very lackluster (but oddly relatable, as a senior in high school who'd much rather stay at home than go on adventures) and, being a kids book, takes several liberties with the behavior and abilities of both hedgehogs and natural phenomena, but I shan't dwell on that as A. complaining about logic in a children's picture book is terrible(and also something I am really good at) and B. this is marketed for 3 to 5 year olds.
