Jojo Moyes never fails and is an easy auto-buy author for me. I've read a few of her books now and this one didn't disappoint!
It's a beautiful story about Sabine, her mother Kate, Kate's mother Joy and their difficult (to put it mildly) strained family dynamic. After not having contact with her family pretty much since Sabine was born, Kate's father becomes ill, so Sabine is sent begrudgingly to stay with her grandmother and grandfather to help out. No phones, no computers, just horse-riding (which she hates with a passion) and stuffy, old people. I loved this family's journey, learning about heartbreak and family grudges that have lasted forever. Definitely some points we can all relate to and sympathise with.
Jojo Moyes has a way with words and I can't wait to read more from her. Another easy 5 ⭐ read from me.
