Rebel Bride by Elizabeth Moss

4.0

*****I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net galley in exchange for an honest review. ****
This the second book in Moss’s Lust in the Tudor Court series. I had read the first book and I did enjoy it. That being said you DO NOT need to read the first book to enjoy this one. Other than the heroine form the first book be the sister of Susannah (our heroine this time) the previous store has no bearing on this one. I enjoyed that heroine seemed strong willed, but much was because she is terrible naïve about the workings of Court life. She does not wish to marry, but to become a mistress. She has set her eyes on Hugh Beaufort, a courtier to King Henry VIII. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the story develop and this couple slowly falling in love. For me this book was much better than the first and I am now more eager to read the next book in the series. I would consider Rebel Bride a Historical Erotic Romance. .
